Ben Wurzel, Field Instructor Ben grew up in Nashville, TN where he developed his love of the outdoors as a Boy Scout. When he turned 18, he had to go west, spending the next 9 years of his life exploring the mountains of Colorado and Northern Arizona. He managed to combine his love of the outdoors with his college studies at Prescott College. There he was encouraged to pursue his passions in areas such as: outdoor experiential education, environmental education, and natural history. He’s taught at the Colorado Mountain Ranch and YMCA of the Rockies. Most recently, he was teaching marine science at the New Found Harbor Marine Institute in the Florida Keys.
