Measurable Impact

In 2016, Cal-Wood provided environmental education to more children than ever before! Cal-Wood built upon our legacy of providing environmental and STEM education using our pristine 1200 acres as our outdoor classroom. As our expert staff leads children through hands-on, field-based exploration of local plants, animals, fire ecology, forestry, geology, and pond ecosystems, they gain a greater appreciation of the environment and the tools tobecome future stewards of the earth.

Science-based Environmental Education for Schools

Summer Camps
401 summer campers ages 8-18 enjoyed a week immersed in nature at Cal-Wood where they explore trails, fish the ponds, backpack and camp, complete service projects, and sing around the campfire.  41 children from low-income families received $19,000 in scholarship assistance.
Family Camps
