AKA Kinnikinnik (a ground cover plant, also called Bearberry, very important in
preventing erosion in forests and its berries are a food source for many animals. Kids
often call me Connecticut.)
Where did you go to college and what did you study?
Colorado State University – Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Recreation &
Tourism Emphasis in Environmental Communication.
What is your favourite outdoor activity?
My favourite outdoor activities are camping and swimming in very cold water. Nothing
gets me out in nature more than camping and nothing makes me feel more alive than
plunging into freezing mountain water.
If you could visit any place in the world where would you go?
Since I was a young child and saw mummy on a museum trip I have always wanted to go
to Egypt and see the pyramids.
Who is your environmental hero?
Rachel Carson. Not only because we share the same name, but also for all her work in
uncovering the impact chemicals have on the environment.
