Base Camps

Base Camps were previously know as the Lodge-Based, Mountain Summer Camp. We are excited to share a fresh update for 2018.

Campers stay in charming log cabins just a stone’s throw from our main lodge and enjoy home cooked meals. Days are filled exploring our forests, meadows, creeks, and mountains while making new friends and new memories. Campers are placed in age-appropriate groups experiencing true Colorado mountain adventure, hands-on education, leadership development, an outdoor overnight and traditional summer camp fun. Each session  has a specific theme designed to make each week special.

Core programming features Cal-Wood’s core choice-based activities including fishing, archery, high ropes, arts & crafts, dancing, sports, hiking, survival skills, campfires, s’mores and more! Activities are split into 3 Edventure Zones – Discovery, Adventure, Imagination.

Available for youth grades 2-8 (2017-2018 school year)
