BRIDGE Scholarships

BRIDGE stands for Building Relationships with Inner-City and Diverse Groups and the Environment.

With the support of our generous donors, Cal-Wood launched the BRIDGE Fund in 2002 to break down funding barriers and provide low-income students access to our programs. Each year, the BRIDGE Fund provides scholarships to support schools wishing to attend our Science-based Environmental Education Program, a 3-day, 2-night nature immersion experience held at our mountain site.

Scholarships cover a percentage of the program costs. Please contact our Program Coordinator Jamie Preira for details!

In 2016, Cal-Wood provided scholarships to 1648 students! For many low-income children, Cal-Wood is their first experience surrounded by nature, and three days of nature immersion at Cal-Wood can be a truly impactful experience.
