Food Service Manager

Christopher was born and raised in the suburbs of New Jersey. His family had an avid love for the outdoors and he spent most of his summers camping and traveling with family. He spent the better part of a decade of his summers working at summer camps in various roles. He developed his love for cooking early on in life cooking and baking with his grandmother. He loves being able to meld his passion for the outdoors with his passion for food.

He attended Johnson & Wales University in Denver, Colorado where he earned his Associates of Science in Culinary Arts and his Bachelors of Science in Culinary Arts & Food Service management with a minor in Outdoor Recreation. He’s worked a variety of jobs, from developing recipes for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, to managing food at various camp and outdoor properties, to managing corporate dining.

Cal-wood has been his opportunity to return to an environment where food, education and impact are forefront in the minds of all that work here. His favorite part about working at Cal-wood is knowing that what he does has a larger impact on the individuals we serve. When clients and students are fed well, the rest of our programming has the opportunity to be more impactful.
