OUR VISION
WHY CLIMBING MATTERS
At Cal-Wood Education Center, we’ve been connecting people to nature for over 40 years. Now, we’re rekindling one of our most inspiring outdoor experiences—our climbing program at Talus, our 40-foot granite rock wall with breathtaking views of the Rockies.
We believe climbing is more than a sport—it’s a transformative experience that builds resilience, teamwork, and self-confidence, especially for kids who’ve never had the opportunity to try something like this.
WHO BENEFITS
A CLIMBING PROGRAM FOR EVERYONE
Our goal is to integrate climbing into Cal-Wood’s full slate of programs:
-
Bilingual family camps
-
School programs for underresourced communities
-
Summer camps for middle and high schoolers
-
Professional retreats and team-building
Many of the students we serve would never have access to climbing without this program. Your support changes that.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
HELP GET THIS PROGRAM OFF THE GROUND
We’re seeking donations to help us relaunch the climbing program with the gear and resources needed to make it safe and inclusive.
Your donation supports:
✔️ Harnesses, helmets, ropes, and carabiners
✔️ Instructor training and safety equipment
✔️ Scholarships to ensure every student can climb, regardless of income
Your gift today will help children and families from all backgrounds reach new heights—literally and figuratively.
