ANGIE BUSBY

Natural Resource Manager

Angie is originally from Zumbrota, Minnesota. She went to college at Northland College in Ashland, WI and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology and Outdoor Education. She also received her NR-EMT-B license while in college. After college Angie was placed in Charleston, South Carolina as an AmeriCorps NCCC for the southeast region of the country. Here she spent 8 weeks at a time on a wildland fire crew where she received her Red Card for Wilderness Firefighting, and did 8 weeks on disaster recovery work with Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Wilma. Angie started at Cal-Wood as a Field Instructor and then moved into the Natural Resources/Medical &Fire/ Volunteer Coordinator role the following year.

On top of her work at Cal-Wood, you can find Angie at any YMCA teaching medical classes throughout the Front Range or teaching Hunters Education for CPW.

Angie enjoys her job at Cal-Wood because she gets to make landscape ecological decisions, she loves the daily variety of her job as well as being outside and watching Cal-Wood’s landscape change from season to season throughout the year.

Fun fact: Angie goes to the Boundary Waters every year - she is working on making her way across them in various portions. Her first trip was when she was 15 years old!
