WHAT WE DO
Cal-Wood has connected hundreds of thousands of kids and family members to the Colorado mountains through our environmental education programs, retreats, and, since 2020, through wildfire restoration, research, and education.
K-12 students engage in environmental and science education during a 3-day, 2-night experience at Cal-Wood.
LATINO FAMILY CAMPS
Latino families spend a weekend camping, learning about conservation, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and campfire cooking at Cal-Wood and State/National parks, many for the first time.
SCHOOL-AGE FAMILY PROGRAMS
This pandemic adaptation engages families of school-age kids through weekend residential programs at Cal-Wood.
HIGH SCHOOL WILDFIRE RESEARCH PROGRAM
This 5-day residential field course for high school students engages students in authentic wildlife research over the summer.
The restoration of our land at Cal-Wood is going to be a 5-10 year process and will cost millions of dollars.
