What We Do: Welcome

Cal-Wood has connected hundreds of thousands of kids and family members to the Colorado mountains through our environmental education programs, retreats, and, since 2020, through wildfire restoration, research, and education.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS

K-12 students engage in environmental and science education during a 3-day, 2-night experience at Cal-Wood.

SUMMER CAMPS

Campers spend a week learning about conservation and nature, hiking, camping, fishing, doing fire restoration projects, and singing around the campfire.

LATINO FAMILY CAMPS

Latino families spend a weekend camping, learning about conservation, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, and campfire cooking at Cal-Wood and State/National parks, many for the first time.

RETREATS

Cal-Wood’s remote and breathtaking setting combined with cozy accommodations and delicious food create a perfect atmosphere for an organizational retreat for 20 to 120 guests
