NANCY FARMER
Office Manager
Ever since she was a child growing up in Wyoming, Nancy has loved to play in the great outdoors – hiking, skiing, biking and generally appreciating nature. She fell in love with the Colorado mountains when she went to summer camp near Denver. She enjoyed Field Science trips in Junior High and High School, but decided on English as a major in college, as well as taking Spanish and business courses. After graduating from the University of Wyoming, she moved to Denver, but spent as much time in the mountains as she could. She was fortunate after a couple of years in the city to move to Jamestown and start a small business with her then husband, where she learned the ropes of bookkeeping and small business, while raising their 2 daughters. When the opportunity to work at Cal-Wood came up, it was a natural fit. Nancy loves working with and supporting the staff who carry out Cal-Wood’s mission and the sounds of excited kids learning real science in our beautiful 1200 acre classroom.
