OUR MOUNTAIN SITE
THE CALVERT LODGE
This gorgeous lodge includes a large indoor meeting space called the Bear Room, a dining hall that seats 72 people as well as a area with couches & a fireplace, a back porch, bathrooms & showers. Our main office and gear room are located in the downstairs area of the lodge.
THE BEAR ROOM
Used as a game room or large indoor meeting area, guests can warm up next to the fire place or wood burning stove next to the many donated animals in this space used for educational purposes.
THE FIREPLACE
Cozy up by the fire with some hot coco after a long day outside.
RUSTIC LOG CABINS
Sleeping 80 people total we have 4 log cabins each split into 2 rooms with 10 bunk beds in each. Guests use the main lodge for bathrooms & showers. Cal-Wood provides a fitted sheet but guests must also bring their own sleeping bag, blankets, pillows & towel.
After a long day outside, cozy up inside your cabin which includes bunkbeds, dressers and a heater.
THE MECKLEY CENTER
The Meckley Center is our newest building with 2 rooms of 8 bunk beds each and one center room with 4 beds. Sleeping 36 people total the Meckley Center also includes a large upper meeting space and 3 bathrooms.
Upstair Meckley is a big open indor space used as a game room for kids' groups or a large indoor meeting space that can seat up to 80 people for a conference or workshop.
The Meckley Center sleeps 36 people with 16 on each side and 4 beds dividing the 2 rooms.
OUTDOOR SPACES
THE REC FIELD & MECKLEY REC FIELD
Just beyond the cabins, the Rec Field is a place to relax, run around, eat lunch, play on the swings, play soccer, tetherball or gaga ball.
The Meckley Center has a designated Rec Field, as well, just beyond the Meckley Center building.
THE CAMPFIRE CIRCLE
One of our most popular evening activities for all groups is sitting by the campfire sharing stories, singing songs and star gazing.
CAMPSITES
We have 5 campsites spread out across our 1,200 acres of land. These are used for school groups, summer programs, and rentals in the summer.
POND AREAS
We have 2 ponds at Cal-Wood, one that we stock with fish for fishing during the summer and both are beautiful places to watch for animals or do a fresh water ecosystem study.
